The comprehensive renovation of this waterfront property in Freshwater was designed to create a light-filled, functional, and sophisticated family haven with a strong connection to its coastal setting. Our process began with a strategic floor plan review, allowing us to reconfigure key areas to vastly improve flow and usability, setting the stage for a home that is as practical as it is beautiful.
The heart of the home is the completely redesigned kitchen, which now serves as a bright, social hub. A magnificent, sculptural stone island featuring warm timber accents creates a natural gathering point with seating for up to 8 family and guests. To enhance the connection to the outdoors, a gas-strut servery window opens directly to the terrace and BBQ, blurring the lines between inside and out. This seamless flow extends into the living area, where a custom-designed fireplace and TV unit, clad in textural limestone, acts as a warm and inviting focal point.
This commitment to bespoke design continues in the private quarters. The primary suite was transformed into a serene retreat, featuring a spa-like ensuite where a freestanding bathtub is perfectly positioned to capture stunning ocean views. A custom floating vanity with detailed fluted timber drawer fronts and brushed brass fixtures adds a layer of tactile luxury. The new layout also accommodates a spacious walk-in robe with custom cabinetry, delivering exceptional organisation.
Throughout the home, from the elegant bathrooms to the playful yet stylish children’s bedrooms with integrated joinery, a cohesive palette of light, texture, and warmth is maintained. The result is a refined and welcoming environment where every detail has been considered to support and enhance modern family life. This renovation successfully balances high-end aesthetics with everyday functionality, creating a timeless and deeply personal home.
