Warm Minimalist design: Terrazzo, timber, and fluted tiles create serene, functional Sydney townhouse interior.
Xanda Interior Design completed a major renovation of this three-bedroom Darlinghurst townhouse, redesigning the kitchen, main bathroom, and transforming the laundry into a new guest wet room to maximize client functionality.
The Warm Minimalist design direction prioritizes texture and calm. Key materials include multi-toned terrazzo across benchtops and walls, juxtaposed with rhythmic, vertical fluted tiling in soft neutrals for depth. This is anchored by extensive use of natural timber veneer joinery for cabinetry and the staircase, which introduces essential organic warmth. Paired with a sophisticated palette and sleek gunmetal fixtures, the result is a beautifully balanced, highly functional home, defining modern Sydney townhouse interiors.
